The city is paying a man hurt in a hit-and-run with a fire truck $275,000, The Post has learned.
A police accident report said the Engine Co. 96 truck ran a red light in The Bronx in 2001 and hit a car, but the FDNY driver kept going.
Carlos Morales, 44, a passenger who suffered a back injury, agreed to the settlement after the FDNY and city lawyers falsely ID'd the driver, according to Morales' lawyer, Peter DeFilippis.
